I was sitting in my room yesterday during my quiet time with God. I like to do this each morning as it centers me and reminds me that I do not walk this journey called life alone. There is such a peace in this sacred place of communion where I have received many revelations as well as answers to questions and strategies. This is place where my creativity is birthed and from which it flows.
When I looked up I saw how the sun was shining through the window. It cast a reflection of the curtains on the wall. This reflection was magnificent in the way it captured every detail of the lace of the curtain. It was magnified to the point that I could actually see every cell of the lace. Not only that, but I saw the reflection of the tree limbs outside as the sun shown through them to reach the window.
I looked at the curtain and although I could see the lace it was not as intricate and detailed as it was in the reflection. The reflection was so much more dramatic and alive as it danced upon the wall. The dance scene also captured the movement of the wind as it and the sun met at the window and danced for me. I sat mesmerized as I watched the movement of the dance.
I was reminded that we are also as magnificent as the reflection I was watching. We are intricate and delicate and so much more than what is actually seen by the natural eye. We don't know what our reflection will look like, but it will be wonderful and breathtaking. Others will see our reflection and will be mesmerized by our beauty and watch as the movement of the dance of our life touches deep places in them.
I was reminded once again to dance like no one is watching. Care to dance?
